Brent Geese Ambassadors! Trip to Bull Island!

Both 4th classes went on a fantastic adventure today to Bull Island in search of Brent Geese! First 4th class B who became the Gulls group learned all about the Light-Bellied Brent Goose from our wonderful guide Niamh. We learned all about their migration to Ireland from North Canada during the winter months and learned how to identify them. We have become ambassador's for the Brent Geese and hope to spread awareness and to help keep track of their where about in the local area. After that we went bird watching with Ricky and were so lucky to see two flocks of Brent geese fly over our heads, it was amazing! Then we met Dave who talked to use about crabs and lugworms that can be found all over the beeches. Some of us were so brave we even held various crabs and lugworms! Well done all on a fantastic trip! Keep a look out for those Brent geese!
